Chopping a Carrot

Chopping carrots is pretty much the same as chopping cucumbers. The first thing you have to do is remove both ends and peel it. Then it’s up to you (or your recipe) to decide if you want to just slice the carrot crosswise, which will yield rounds, or do a little more for a chopped result. Here’s how:

1.Slice both ends off the carrot and peel it using a vegetable peeler. Discard the peels and ends.

2.Slice the carrot in half lengthwise, and then each half again lengthwise. You will end up with four halves.

3.Push two halves together and slice crosswise through both halves. The size of the chopped carrots will depend on how wide your slices are.

4.If you want to have carrot rounds instead of chopped carrots, simply slice the peeled carrots in half. You need thin carrots in order to do this.
