You probably have most of these ingredients in your kitchen already, with the exception of the salami. If you’re buying it already packaged, then you can use the remainder in my French Bread Pizza.
I store my bread in the freezer and just take out slices as I need them. The slices defrost in just a few minutes. Don’t refrigerate bread ~ it makes it hard and tough!
- 4 slices of your favorite bread ~ rye, white, whole wheat
- dijon mustard
- 12 thin slices American cheese ~ 1/4 lb.
- 8 slices Genoa salami or Italian salami (2 1/2-inch diameter)
- 1 tomato, optional
