I’m a big fan of sales, so when a food item I use frequently goes on sale, I stock up! Most supermarkets sell meats in several size portions — think Goldilocks –with the “family pack” or “club pack” being “daddy bear.” That’s generally the cheapest, so if I have room in my freezer, I buy that size and then divide and repackage the meat into smaller portions and stash them in my freezer.
